Manifesto of the Gothamite (The Mid Age Goth)

Omnibus in foro S.P.D.

So because I found this here:

https://dailypost.wordpress.com/dp_writing_challenge/manifesto/

As a now early 30’s gothic writer with being a by-product of Classical Authors such as : Shakespeare,  Edgar Allen Poe,  Lord Byron, and the great Emily Dickinson.  I thought my manifesto should be about some of their spoken words that have stuck with me.

“From out of the mouths of babes.”  As they say but instead its “Out of the mouths of Bards & Writers.”

“To thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man.”  (William Shakespeare)

I promise to always be true to myself no matter what the outcome. Through the tides of adversity and the waves of  perseverance.  Not only will I overcome but I will also conquer.

“All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream”  (Edgar Allen Poe)

—- I promise to do all within my power.  To make my dreams a reality.  So that others may share in the joy of what only seemed just a dream.

“Beauty is not caused.  It is.” (Emily Dickinson)

—-I promise to try and see the beauty in everything.  Even in the darkness, will I try to find a beautiful light.”

and lastly.

“Love will find a way through paths where wolves fear to prey.”  (Lord Byron)

—- I promise to embrace love with all its many wonders and its equal faults.  For it can be as gentle as a lamb and strong like a lion.  It does not know fear.  I like love can overcome all.
